Jen Kriegel

Jen grew up in a Pacific Northwest farming town and spent her early life connecting to the stories of the community and environment around her. After earning a BA in English at the University of Washington, Jen redirected her passion for these narratives. Shifting from writing to design, she attended New York University in London where she earned an MA in Historic and Sustainable Architecture. Jen went on to study in New Zealand, Rome, and Copenhagen, becoming increasingly fluent in the language of design and the stories told by our natural and built environments. She returned to the University of Washington where her studies culminated with dual Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees in 2020. Her hope is to apply her years of exploration to help reveal the complex narratives of sites and spaces through eloquent design stories. When she’s not collecting advanced degrees, Jen may be found visiting family in her hometown - and with graduate school finally complete, she’s looking for new ways to occupy her time.
