Leah helped established JA’s first full-service Interior Design Studio in 2016

SEATTLE WA – Johnston Architects has promoted Leah Wiiest to Principal of Interiors.

Leah Wiiest joined JA in 2016, strengthening the firm’s design offerings and establishing its first full-service interior design studio. Her unique educational background and professional experience complements JA’s diverse project portfolio. Wiiest majored in Policy Analysis and Management with a Minor in Business Economics at Cornell University, and earned a BA in English from Seattle Pacific University before pivoting her career into construction and design. After receiving her AAST in Interior Design from Clover Park Technical College, Wiiest designed hospitality, retail, restaurant, and residential projects in Seattle, New York, and Los Angeles before joining JA in 2016. Wiiest is currently leading the interior design of three boutique condominium projects, several mixed-use apartment developments, the complete renovation of a historic post office into the new Auburn Arts & Cultural Center, and FF&E selection for numerous library and hospitality projects.
